Empowering Farmers Through Dairy Cooperatives

Central Dairy Cooperative Association Limitted Nepal (CDCAN) is the first of the thematic central cooperative association registered after the implementation of the Nepal Cooperative Act, 2048 BS (1992 AD). The Central Association was established on Chaitra 20, 2049 BS (Cooperative Day) by bringing together 2 district unions including Kavrepalanchok and Sindhupalchowk and 26 other cooperative organizations. The Central Association represents more than 1,700 milk producer cooperative organizations and covers more than 600,000 households, promoting sustainable development of the dairy sector, good animal husbandry practices (GMP), increasing production capacity and empowering cooperatives.
